Synthetic Virtuoso

I loved this. Apparently, stop-motion editing > 5 years worth of music lessons. Yess.

From the article, "I cannot play the piano or the drums" says 22-year old Mr. Gjertsen. The drum portion of the video is composed of 40 distinct clips (one clip for each beat, I presume), while the piano melody used 130. The whole project, from planning to filming to editing, took two days to complete.

omg this is hilaaarious. did u watch his other one , using just sounds from his mouth? hahah its ridiculously annoying but awesome haha.

hi diane,

the book i was referring to is by rob bell (same author of sex god =)), called "velvet elvis: repainting the christian faith." rob bell is a pastor in michigan of a church called mars hill (marshill.org). it's a nice, accessible book to read with some pretty interesting insights spread around. i can also think of a couple other books i've seen recently that you might find interesting -- brian mclaren's "more ready than you realize" and rick richardson's "reimagining evangelism." all three books are playing with similar concepts... mclaren is the unofficial elder spokesperson of the 'emerging church' movement/conversation, and rick richardson is a prof at wheaton college and intervarsity national director of evangelism. smart folks... check em out =). they're fun food for thought.
